Communities and Channels Officer - Available on a Fixed Term basis until February 2026. This is an internal opportunity to the collegiate university, external applicants need not apply. We have an exciting opportunity available to join our Digital Governance Unit as a Communities and Channels Officer, with a flexible hybrid working arrangement in central Oxford. This is an opportunity to join a brand new programme team deploying AI solutions across the University. This programme team has been formed of colleagues from across the university to deliver an ambitious and exciting programme running across Michaelmas term. It will be hosted by a friendly, established team within the Digital Governance Unit dedicated to supporting and engaging with staff and students from across the collegiate university. This programme will ensure the University can make the most of emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence, supporting the distinctive needs of those engaged in teaching, learning, research and administration. About the Role

• This is a truly unique opportunity to join a radical new programme designed to help staff and students make the most of emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence. We are looking for a Communities and Channels Officer to play a central role in shaping the programme's engagement and communications across the University.
• As the first point of contact, you will be managing and coordinating queries across Microsoft Teams, shared inboxes, and in-person channels - ensuring the university community feels supported, informed, and connected.
• Engaging with various communities of practice and special interest groups, you will also manage a diverse network of AI Ambassadors, helping them to share knowledge and best practice across the institution.
• Events are a key part of our work, you will contribute to the planning and delivery of a wide range of online and in-person community-building activities to ensure an excellent participant experience.
• Collaborating with all teams from across the programme, as well as industry leaders, you will design and implement impactful communications to share AI advancements, triage queries and generate excitement.
• This role is ideal for a proactive, collaborative professional eager to join an agile, fast-paced team.

• The successful candidate will have proven experience managing competing priorities and collaborating in dynamic team environments.
• You will have an organised approach to work, and the ability to manage multiple platforms and a shared inbox at once.
• You should be confident working with digital tools such as Microsoft Teams, and have a commitment to delivering high-quality service and support.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders across academic and administrative spheres are crucial.
• Experience in event coordination and community engagement would be an advantage.
• Expertise in artificial intelligence is desirable but by no means essential.
