This is an exciting opportunity to join our Community and Social Infrastructure Team, responsible for delivering and managing a comprehensive grants programme. You’ll help ensure grants are aligned with the Borough Plan, deliver value for money, and achieve positive outcomes that improve the lives of local people.
What you’ll do
- Lead the process of assessing, evaluating, and managing grants
- Ensure funding decisions align with the Borough Plan and deliver real community impact
- Work closely with Corporate Communications and Community Engagement Teams to boost participation in grant programmes
- Build strong relationships with residents, partners, and community groups
- Attend evening meetings and community events when required (occasional weekend work may be needed)
We’re looking for someone with
- Enthusiasm for community engagement and a passion for making a difference
- Excellent communication and people skills, with confidence in community-facing roles
- Proactivity, flexibility and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A creative, solution-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience in grants management, assessment, or public sector project delivery (desirable)
