Overview
Position: Trainee Phlebotomist. Field Based – Watford, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Chorleywood, Bushey, Northwood, Stanmore. Salary: £27,783 per year plus Commission, Overtime, Expenses and Benefits. If you join, you will be known internally as a Health Assessment Specialist and will join a passionate team delivering high-quality health assessments across your region.
Responsibilities
- You will be required to work 4 x 10-hour shifts per week, totalling 40 hours per week. These hours can fall any time between 6am and 10pm, Monday to Sunday, and will be allocated by the resource planner 3 weeks in advance.
- You may need to drive up to 2 hours to reach your venue for the day; there may also be instances where you will use public transport depending on the venue type.
- Work in various clinic venues across your region; expect to work in multiple locations.
- Plan your route in the morning, travel to your allocated venue, set up your kit, greet customers, and conduct appointments.
- Perform health assessments based on customer-chosen packages, including but not limited to: PAD, ECG, Phlebotomy (once qualified), Lung Function, Body Composition, and short fitness tests. Advise on appropriate next steps when necessary and maintain accurate administration records.
- Note: You will not relay results or lifestyle advice to customers after assessments (as part of this role).
Requirements
- Full UK Driving License and access to your own car – you will transport your kit to and from venues; means to store kit items at home when not working.
- Ability to work any days between Monday and Sunday and any times between 6am and 10pm on a rota basis (typical shifts 6am–4pm, 8am–6pm, 1pm–10pm).
- Proficient with computers/laptop/phone/tablet.
- Clear DBS – we will process this on your behalf.
- Ability to travel up to 2 hours from your home location to perform the role, with occasional overnight stays as required.
- Living within the correct distance of the regional location.
- Attend our Milton Keynes head office for the first 2 weeks of training (Monday–Friday; stay in Milton Keynes for both weeks).
- Willingness to learn and take on new skills.
- Please note: A satisfactory enhanced criminal records check is required as part of onboarding (covered by us).
- All roles at Bluecrest Wellness require a satisfactory criminal record check as part of onboarding.
