Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated, competent, qualified, and skilled Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) with a successful track record to join our team. The role involves ensuring continued compliance by managing our service providers and driving the client's strategic approach to fire safety compliance across our estate, including corporate and school properties.

Role Overview:

The Compliance Manager (Fire Lead) will be the nominated Responsible Person for fire safety, overseeing the Fire Risk Management service, and shaping fire property compliance and asset management strategies. The goal is to ensure properties are safe, well-maintained, and compliant with relevant legislation such as the Regulatory Reform (Fire) Order 2005, the Building Safety Act 2022, and the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.

You will manage risk assessments, develop fire safety policies, and oversee their implementation, ensuring legal and regulatory adherence, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and managing maintenance programs to maintain fire safety across various properties, ensuring a safe environment for all.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage fire safety compliance programs across all sites, prioritizing workload to meet or exceed KPIs and SLAs.
• Lead and conduct reviews of fire risk assessments and audits, maintaining detailed action logs.
• Develop and review fire safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant fire safety legislation and standards.
• Liaise with fire authorities, insurers, and auditors.
• Provide fire safety training and advice to staff.
• Investigate fire incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Stay updated on fire safety laws and best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and facilities teams for effective service delivery.
• Chair fire-related meetings, address issues, and facilitate communication.
• Provide leadership in fire compliance, risk, and asset management.
• Build relationships for knowledge transfer, training, and guidance on fire safety.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation, including the Regulatory Reform (Fire) Order 2005, Building Safety Act 2022, and Fire Safety Regulations 2022.
• At least 3 years of experience in fire safety management or compliance, preferably in local authority or educational settings.
• Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Fire Safety or IFE certifications.
• Experience working with regulatory bodies and emergency services is advantageous.
• Ability to develop risk management strategies.
