Join to apply for the Compliance Monitoring Senior Manager role at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in our London offices. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of a risk-based annual Compliance Monitoring Plan for agreement by the Audit Committee
  • Scope and implement monitoring reviews ensuring that any remedial actions are carried out by the business
  • Management of Compliance Monitoring Reviews: understand the processes and competences required to complete a review; manage all components of a review (including scope and approach) and members of the review team to ensure reviews are delivered to the expected quality within the agreed timeframe; ensure resource budgets are managed effectively; clarify roles and responsibilities of stakeholders relevant to each review including the Accountable Executive for the business area being reviewed; agree remedial actions emerging from each review and track progress through to closure; make constructive proposals to improve the effectiveness of the monitoring review process
  • Reporting: prepare monitoring reports to specified standards including format, style and timeliness with minimal changes; conduct a quality review of evidence to ensure it supports findings; provide clear evidence to support remedial actions; ensure critical findings are reported immediately as appropriate; achieve buy-in from the Accountable Executive to report findings and remedial actions; provide context to findings in relation to wider risk, control and governance issues

What you need to have

  • University Degree/recognised industry accreditation
  • Proven track record in building strong and constructive relationships with business leaders
  • Proven track record of interfacing effectively with senior management and being an agent of change
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations
