Conference Production Manager – £45,000 – £55,000 Bonus Excellent Benefits • Hybrid • London

Leading Public Sector focused events business seeks a highly talented senior conference producer to produce compelling b2b events as well as manage a team of junior conference producers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direction, coaching, and performance management to a team of three junior conference producers to help them deliver the conference business plan and drive best practice within the team.
  • Work with the Head of Conferences & Event Operations to create and maintain their conference schedule of over 100 conferences.
  • Lead research to identify potential ideas and improvements that will define the future of our conferences as well as look at expanding into new territories.
  • Develop our portfolio of event offerings.
  • Create comprehensive programmes with formats that produce best-in-class conference experience and engagement.
  • Maintain and develop long-standing relationships with industry-leading organisations, new and existing senior executives across the Public, Private and Voluntary Sectors.
  • Review processes, KPIs across the team.
  • Manage recruitment for the team as and when required.

Experience Required

  • Some experience of managing others, it does not have to be formal line management experience – matrix management will suffice.
  • Strong conference production experience – 3 years +
  • Strong interest and/ or understanding of government and public sector policy.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Excellent written (including copy writing) and oral communication skills.
  • Creativity, a passion for research, motivation with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, as the role involves regular interaction with external partners and speakers as well as with internal staff members. The ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships is key to success in this position.
