Salary: Up to £50,000 depending on skills and experience
Responsibilities
- Ensure the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) data is maintained to the required level of accuracy and correctness
- Load, manipulate, audit, and report on configuration data
- Propose, document, and implement new or revised processes to improve data integrity and promote the consistent use of data
- Regular monitoring & audits to avoid unauthorised changes to the database
- Provide administrative support to the change and release manager, helping to maintain the integrity of the CMDB and independently solving smaller problems
Qualifications and experience
- Experience of Service Management/configuration management processes and tools
- Understanding of the need to capture and maintain data
- Experienced in continuous process improvement activities
- Experience of using BMC Remedy
- Worked on large scale complex engineering projects/programmes

The NCSISS (Naval Combat Systems Integration Support Service) team
As part of this role you will maintain and strive to improve the Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) Asset and Configuration Management processes for the T26 Combat Systems Land Based Integration Facility and configuration data for the T26 Platforms.
The role focuses on operating Change Management and Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM), with a level of activity to support the other Service Delivery processes.
About the site
The MISC located on Portsdown Hill, is a specialist facility providing vital support for Royal Navy warships whilst researching future Combat Systems and Technologies. Shaped like a Type 45 destroyer, the MISC is a unique building that now benefits from new facilities including a state of the art visualisation suite. The site offers a range of staff amenities, including a modern canteen with outdoor seating that offers spectacular views across Hampshire’s rolling countryside, a pool table and a gym.
