Construction & Engineering Solicitor – Non-Contentious (3+ PQE)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: Highly Competitive- Based on experience

An award-winning commercial law firm is looking to expand its Construction, Engineering & Projects team with a talented non-contentious construction solicitor.
This nationally regarded team works on a range of high-profile and technically complex projects across the UK and internationally. With an impressive client base including investors, developers, contractors, consultants, and funders, you’ll be part of a group that delivers impactful legal solutions at every stage of the construction lifecycle.
The Opportunity
You’ll advise on a wide range of non-contentious construction matters, including:
– Drafting and negotiating industry standard contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC)
– Advising on consultant appointments, collateral warranties, bonds and guarantees
– Supporting clients throughout project delivery, from contract negotiation to completion
– Playing a key role in business development and mentoring junior team members
– This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE and a solid foundation in non-contentious construction law who is ready to take the next step in a highly supportive, values-led environment.
The Ideal Candidate
– Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification experience in construction (non-contentious)
– Confident dealing with standard form contracts and bespoke agreements
– Excellent communication and client-handling skills
– A collaborative team player who enjoys mentoring and knowledge sharing
– Commercially aware and proactive in developing client relationships
