Construction Lawyer

Overview
An opportunity for a remote construction lawyer to join a purpose-led law firm in the North West. The organisation’s recent client wins have driven growth and created opportunities for professionals passionate about protecting client interests and mitigating risk across the project lifecycle. You will provide expert legal guidance across the full spectrum of construction services.
What You’ll Do
As a Construction Lawyer, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Provide proactive and commercially focused legal advice on all aspects of construction projects, ensuring client interests are protected at every stage.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of construction contracts and related documentation for both contentious and non-contentious matters.
- Support clients in managing risk throughout the lifecycle of their projects by identifying potential issues early and offering practical solutions.
- Represent clients in dispute resolution processes including adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigation as required.
You have the ability to work remotely, but will be required to attend the Division Team Meeting in either their Liverpool or Manchester office once per month.
What You Bring
To excel as a Construction Lawyer within this esteemed organisation, you will bring not only technical proficiency but also genuine enthusiasm for supporting others—both clients and colleagues alike. Your background should include:
- Qualified solicitor (England & Wales).
- Expertise in either contentious or non-contentious construction matters—or ideally both—with a proven track record of handling complex cases from inception through resolution.
- Excellent drafting skills with the ability to prepare clear and concise contracts as well as robust dispute documentation.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation such as the Construction Act 1996 (as amended), JCT/NEC contracts framework, adjudication procedures and health & safety regulations.
