The successful candidate will be a key part of the Operations team (Design & Construction) responsible for project management of new Amazon Delivery Stations (distribution centers) in planning, work preparation, and construction (existing + new builds). The Construction Manager will play a vital role in developing and implementing the EU distribution center infrastructure, analyzing and evaluating various planning and execution options that directly impact the efficiency of package processing at our Delivery Stations. Additionally, the candidate must support the standardization of technical and plant-related processes and systems.

This role combines civil engineering, construction law, planning, time management, cost management, project management, facility management, and contract management. Proven skills and experience in planning, construction execution, and project management/control are required.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Take primary responsibility for the development of new and existing properties.
  2. Coordinate the construction project team (internal and external).
  3. Oversee construction, planning, and design for Amazon Delivery Stations and expansion projects.
  4. Conduct feasibility studies, prepare technical reports, and evaluate planning options.
  5. Perform due diligence and cost estimation for new properties/expansions.
  6. Ensure efficient contracts, contract compliance, and negotiations.
  7. Monitor work processes and schedules to meet targets (safety, deadlines, costs, quality).
  8. Serve as the point of contact for the internal project team throughout the property lifecycle.
  9. Train new team members in best practices.
  10. Prepare regular reports for the internal management team (deadlines, costs, risks, quality).
