At Etex, we seek to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our customers and our communities. Are you looking for a company where you can learn, grow & lead? Join us as a Site Manager, covering the UK – including Nationwide travel!
As Site Manager, you’ll be assigned to live projects, playing a key part in ensuring that schemes are delivered on time, within budget, and to the exceptional quality standards that define our brand.
What you’ll do:
- Participate in internal and client meetings, providing input on planning, coordination, and delivery to ensure smooth project execution.
- Support the Contracts or Operations Manager in developing and managing the site programme, including labour, plant, and crane requirements.
- Prepare and maintain key project documentation such as method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans, ensuring they are current and compliant.
- Liaise with internal departments including Production, Procurement, and QS to coordinate deliveries, logistics, and site readiness.
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, to programme, and in line with quality standards.
- Deliver site inductions and toolbox talks, promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all health and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with subcontractors to maintain adequate resources and ensure progress aligns with the construction schedule.
- Monitor site performance, track KPIs, raise non-conformances where necessary, and follow through with corrective actions.
- Attend client and subcontractor meetings, communicate updates clearly, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Mentor and support Assistant Site Managers, contributing to team development and overall site performance.
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in a similar site or project management role within the construction industry.
- Confident working independently and taking ownership of day-to-day site operations.
- We’re also open to candidates from an engineering project management background, where transferable skills align with the role.
- We are named the world's #1 most trustworthy company in the construction sector by Newsweek and Statista in 2023!
- Our culture – we connect & care about those around us. We nurture teamwork, communities, partnerships and new ways of working, placing the highest importance on the safety and working environment of our people.
- Our ‘Road to Sustainability 2030’ is our plan to help build a better, sustainable future. We work towards this vision by caring about our social and environmental impacts and developing innovative solutions
- We have a strong conviction that diversity of thinking helps us to deliver a strong and sustainable performance. It is also essential for us that everyone feels part of the team. In this spirit, we are committed to equal opportunities and zero tolerance towards discrimination
