Overview

Construction Solicitor (Legal Director, 8+ PQE, London, £90-120,000 (DOE)). Excellent opportunity to join the well-established Construction and Engineering team of this UK Top 50 law firm.

Responsibilities

• Advise a wide range of public and private sector clients, including local authorities, NHS Trusts, further and higher education institutions, academies, funders, developers, contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants.
• Develop and manage specialist contentious construction matters with a focus on adjudication, litigation, and arbitration.
• Provide advice on disputes arising under standard industry construction contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC) and advise on potential disputes and risk management.
• Utilize various methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution as appropriate.
• Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, consistently produce high-quality work, and take a proactive, flexible approach to client service and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Solid technical knowledge and experience gained within a strong regional, City, or national firm.
• Experience in some or all of the following areas: Adjudication, Litigation, Arbitration.
• Strong understanding of advising on disputes under standard construction contracts and ADR methods.
