Overview

We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our Real Estate Advisory team at Turner & Townsend. The role involves helping clients think strategically about how buildings can transform work, engaging with decision-makers, using data to analyse real estate portfolios, and developing robust business cases to unlock funding opportunities. Each project is unique, requiring problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work across sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration and Problem Solving: work closely with clients to understand their requirements and develop tailored real estate solutions for real problems.
  • Research and Analysis: conduct in-depth research and analysis (e.g., feasibility studies) to support business cases and estate solutions.
  • Industry Expertise: provide expert advice on current real estate and sector trends.
  • Lead and Inspire: guide multidisciplinary project teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
  • Business Generation: build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across Scotland, identifying opportunities and preparing compelling proposals.

Qualifications

  • Essential: In-depth knowledge of the UK Real Estate industry.
  • Essential: 2-5 years’ experience in a consultancy and/or client-side environment.
  • Essential: Experience authoring strategic documents including Business Cases and/or Estate Strategies for Real Estate change and investment.
  • Essential: Knowledge of the HM Treasury Green Book 5-Case Model.
  • Essential: Knowledge of and track record within at least one of Defence, Local Government, Central Government, Healthcare, Education, or Commercial sectors, including related legislation, policies and procurement.
  • Essential: Effective communicator who listens and understands client needs.
  • Desirable: Relevant industry qualification or degree in Real Estate, Construction Management, Surveying or similar.
  • Desirable: Security Clearance (SC) or willingness to attain clearance.
  • Desirable: leadership experience and ability to manage teams and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Desirable: Financial literacy with ability to conduct financial analysis and appraise investment options.
  • Desirable: Proficiency with Excel and Power BI for data analysis.
  • Desirable: Understanding of benefits management.
