A respected regional firm with strong private wealth and litigation practices is seeking a Contentious Trusts and Probate Solicitor to join its Guildford office. This is an excellent opportunity to handle a varied and interesting caseload within a supportive and high-performing disputes team that continues to grow across the South East.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Handling a broad range of private wealth disputes: Advising on contested wills, inheritance act claims, executor and trustee disputes, breach of trust matters, and claims relating to the administration of estates.
  • Acting for individuals, executors, and trustees: Providing clear, empathetic, and commercially sound advice to clients navigating complex family or estate disputes, balancing sensitivity with firm representation.
  • Collaborating with a leading regional disputes team: Working closely with experienced litigators and private client specialists on a mix of contentious trusts, probate, and broader civil matters.
  • Developing your skills and profile: Gaining exposure to high-quality work and direct client contact, with strong supervision, mentoring, and opportunities for progression within the wider disputes group.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years’ PQE in contentious trusts and/or probate
  • Confident managing your own matters with appropriate supervision
  • Commercially minded, empathetic, and practical in approach
  • Excellent communicator, both with clients and colleagues
  • Motivated to develop within a growing and well-respected team
