Overview

Many customers before purchasing home emergency cover wish to talk to a knowledgeable, passionate and friendly representative who can answer all of their pre-purchase questions. As the first Hometree voice a customer will hear, this role is a critical first step in delivering an industry leading customer experience and ensuring Hometree is a customer's first choice.

Responsibilities

  • Inbound Sales Handling: Handle inbound telesales contacts via telephone, chat, and email/webform to the highest quality and compliance standards, focusing on converting prospects into Hometree customers.
  • Support in replacement heating offerings: Support in transitioning existing customers who want or need to replace their boiler into a new boiler or greener option like our Heat Pump or Solar offerings, financed through our finance team.
  • Market Insight and Analysis: Identify insights from lost sales or customers switching to competitors, highlighting opportunities for product or pricing improvements and refining the sales approach.
  • Quality and Compliance: Maintain a consistently high standard of quality and compliance while operating within a regulated industry.
  • Outbound Sales Management: Support managing outbound sales initiatives and campaigns to maximise sales during quieter inbound periods.
  • Self-Motivation: A confident self-starter with a passion and flair for sales and delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with articulate telephone manner and good grammar and spelling to effectively handle chats and emails.
  • Telesales Experience: Experience in working and performing in a telesales role, preferably within an FCA regulated company, though not essential.
  • Dynamic Sales Person: Used to fast-paced, high call volume work environment and thrives under pressure.
  • Adaptability: A quick learner who can easily evolve their approach, figuring out what works and adapting to changing initiatives and products.
  • Remote Working Environment: This is a remote role to enable our team to have flexibility that works for them; you will need a comfortable and quiet home working environment. We hold monthly team meetings in Peterborough, which you will be expected to attend and twice yearly social events at our London office. There may be times we want to see you in the Peterborough office more often for extra training or meetings where required (no more than once a week).

Salary and Role Type

Salary: £35,700 total earnings (base salary £25,000, increasing to £25,500 after probation, plus 40% on-target earnings based on salary). Role type: Permanent, Full Time (37.5 hours per week).
