At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 – 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 – 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.
Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home 2 days per week, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.
Role
Reporting to the National Account Section Manager the role will be responsible for the achievement of recognised objectives through the effective performance management and development of the Honda Retailers assigned to the Account Manager role.
Focusing on the 3 pillars of the Honda Motor Europe (HME) UK Automobile strategy, Retailer Performance, Retailer Engagement whilst promoting and supporting the Honda Brand, the Account Manager will work closely with each Retailer to maximise both opportunity and performance.
The role is field based and will require travel and flexibility for overnight stays as required. This role will predominantly be managing our retailer network groups in Scotland.
Main Responsibilities
- Achievement of recognised objectives – Sales Volume, Accessories, Retention Products and HCSI (Honda Customer Satisfaction Index) - demonstrable performance management of Honda Retailers through Honda Viewpoint.
- Implementation of the Honda Sales Target Methodology by Retailer site and/or group as directed, manage and implement the process end to end of target methodology delivery.
- Retailer Sales Activity performance management & development, using Honda Viewpoint to proactively manage the recognised elements of the Sales Funnel for the assigned Honda Retailers.
- Future Sales Programme process & system support – be the recognised FS system Ambassador & Champion where required through Retailer personnel coaching and supported Retailer site visits.
- Retailer Marketing – Understanding activity, deployment & evaluation to ensure the Retailer quarterly marketing plans are loaded into Honda Viewpoint and are reviewed for quality and effectiveness.
- Retailer Honda Brand Representation, including DRSR Standards and Ready To Business Reviews, using Honda Viewpoint to manage the process required for the Retailer sites/groups assigned the Honda Account Manager role.
- Retailer & Honda Network Best Practice – Creation, communication and distribution through Retailer discussion, understand the best practices of the Honda Automobile network to support added-value scheduled visits.
- Honda to Retailer Network Communications – Retailer understanding & clarity to ensure all HME (UK) communications have been received and understood and monitored through Honda Viewpoint RTDB.
Qualifications, skills and experience:
- Experience in a Retail environment [Retailer or OEM] of selling and achieving at the highest leve.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.
- Proven analytical skills to review data and provide quality information and actions to others.
- Able to prioritise workload to organise scheduled structured Retailer visits based on individual site or group requirements.
- Able to both work alone and work in a team within your assigned area.
- Broad knowledge of the sector including competitor activity.
- A full, clean driving licence.
- Effective use of Microsoft applications for analysis and communications.
- Relevant experience to provide expertise and to ensure role credibility with Retailers.
