37.5 hours per week, Mon to Fri 08.00-17.00

The Role
Provide Contract and Commercial management services to the UK Local Division, ensuring all contract management activities are executed in accordance with Company directives and instructions, including all procedures and the Contract Management Framework.
This role reports to the division UK Commercial Manager and operationally to the PMO Manager.
Responsibilities
- Contract portfolio - governance
Ensure the portfolio of projects in execution follows the contract and claim management methodologies in accordance with internal standard procedures. Maintain records of contract claims and variations. - Contract execution
Support Project Management Operations to understand and execute the contracts. Assist the PMO in resolving disputes arising from existing contracts and maximizing variation order opportunities during execution. - Contract and claims
Defend the company's contractual interests against customers and suppliers, supporting Project Managers. Collaborate with Legal Counsels to develop negotiation strategies and support negotiations. Notify and liaise with Legal regarding major claims and keep Legal updated on critical developments during project execution. - Purchasing
Support Supply Chain Management in executing purchase agreements aligned with contractual commitments and flow-downs from customer agreements. - Risk Management
Analyze prime contract terms to identify opportunities and risks, such as ambiguities, omissions, and conflicts. Develop and implement risk mitigation and opportunity plans in collaboration with Project Managers. - Insurance
Ensure adherence to contract insurance provisions and coordinate with Insurance Risk Management regarding occurrences covered by customer or company insurance. - Export controls
Seek advice from Legal (Export Control) to support Project Management in managing export control matters, including restrictions on exports, country of origin, trade tariffs, involved customers or products, and relevant laws and regulations.
- Degree qualification preferred with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Contract Formation/Management, Dispute Management, or Claims Handling.
- Significant experience within the Automation/Electrical sector related to Energy Industries, Power and Water, and Chemicals markets for Service and Projects.
- Solid understanding of contract negotiations, risk management, and legal and commercial terms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, customer-focused mindset, and a professional, proactive attitude.
