Corporate Solicitor – Progression to Head of Department / Director Opportunity

Location: West Yorkshire- Several Locations Available (with hybrid working)
Salary: Dependent on experience

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Corporate Solicitor (ideally 5+ years PQE) to join our well-respected and growing corporate team. This role offers genuine long-term progression, with a clear path to Head of Corporate and potential Directorship as part of future succession planning.

You’ll work as part of a close-knit and collaborative department currently comprising the Head of Corporate, a 2-year PQE solicitor, a solicitor apprentice, and a part-time legal secretary. The team works closely with our Commercial Property and Commercial Litigation departments, providing a steady flow of high-quality cross-referred work.

We’re looking for someone who can take on a key role within the department, manage a varied caseload of corporate and commercial matters, and play an active role in the continued growth of the firm. Candidates with an existing following will also have the exciting opportunity to help establish a satellite office in Leeds or Harrogate.

The Role

  • Advising on a full range of corporate matters including M&A, business sales and purchases, shareholder agreements, restructures, and corporate governance.

  • Working alongside the Head of Corporate with a view to taking over the role upon retirement.

  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members.

  • Collaborating with other departments to deliver an integrated client service.

  • Developing client relationships and contributing to business development initiatives.

About You

  • 5+ years PQE in corporate law with a solid track record of handling complex matters.

  • Commercially astute, proactive, and client-focused.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills with an interest in future progression to management/director level.

  • A following or client base would be advantageous, though not essential.

Working Arrangements

  • Base office: Keighley (22 staff), Skipton (20 staff), or Bradford (10 staff).

  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the office / 2 days from home.
