Base pay range: £53,000 – £70,000

Join a top tier corporate team with a strong presence across the South East, advising a diverse client base including start-ups, SMEs, international businesses, and publicly listed companies. Handles complex corporate transactions such as M&A, private equity, joint ventures, shareholder agreements, company reorganisations and public market work like AIM flotations.

Responsibilities

  • Advise a diverse range of clients, including start-ups, SMEs, international companies, and publicly listed firms, across a broad spectrum of corporate transactions and non-transactional matters.
  • Handle mergers and acquisitions, private equity deals, joint ventures, and shareholder agreements, drafting and reviewing key constitutional documents such as articles of association.
  • Support company reorganisations, demergers, reconstructions, and advise on commercial lending, security, business financing and refinancing, including AIM flotations, takeovers, and other public company matters.
  • Lead and support complex corporate transactions with a strong focus on technical accuracy and commercial practicality, managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, collaborate closely with senior colleagues, contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture.
  • Act for a variety of clients including private equity and VCT funds, founders, management teams, and funders, involved in significant regional deals.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with at least 6 months seat.
  • At least 3 years post-qualified, solid experience in corporate law advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures, and shareholder agreements.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating constitutional and transactional documents.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage complex deals independently.
  • Excellent client management and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with competing priorities.
