We are seeking a motivated tax professional to join our in-house team at Kingfisher, playing a key role in managing Corporation Tax compliance within the Kingfisher UK Group. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of tax computations for the UK, Ireland and offshore entities, while supporting the wider business with tax-related matters and contributing to team projects. You will be responsible for budgets, forecasts and statutory tax disclosures, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all reporting.

What’s the job?

  • Preparation of balance sheet controls and compliance with internal controls for tax
  • Identifying opportunities to improve tax compliance and reporting processes, including efficiency and automation, and supporting change across the business
  • Assessing industry developments and legislation changes and advising the business accordingly
  • Providing tax advice to other areas of the business
  • Considering tax implications of business initiatives and supporting implementation from a tax perspective
  • Reviewing integrity and reliability of systems and reporting for tax compliance to identify weaknesses or risks
  • Supporting other team members with other tax compliance activities as required

What you'll bring

  • Accounting and/or Tax qualification (e.g. ACA/ACCA or ATT/CTA)
  • Detailed tax knowledge with expertise in Corporation Tax
  • Strong accounting skills
  • Conscientious with an eye for detail
  • Experience using SAP & Onesource software desirable
  • Experience processing large amounts of data in an organised way
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Technically up to date and aware of industry and legislative changes
  • Experience in relation to VAT & employment taxes desirable
