Location: Watford (Hybrid Working)  •  Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent  •  Salary: £60k - 70k  •  Qualification Required: CTA Qualified

Responsibilities

  • Manage tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of corporate and personal clients
  • Prepare Corporate Tax Returns to the highest professional standards
  • Handle HMRC enquiries and provide technical support to colleagues
  • Proactively identify and advise on tax planning opportunities
  • Ensure all returns are filed accurately and within statutory deadlines
  • Support and mentor junior team members
  • Contribute to advisory projects on complex tax matters
  • Work in accordance with the firm\'s quality procedures

Essential Requirements

  • CTA qualified (or equivalent qualification)
  • Proven experience gained within an accountancy practice
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses
  • Strong technical tax knowledge with commercial awareness
  • Understanding of the interaction between corporate and non-corporate taxes (advantageous)
  • Excellent communication skills and client relationship management
  • Proficient IT skills and comfortable with tax software
  • Strong team player with the ability to supervise and develop junior staff
