Corporate Tax Manager (Advisory Focus), Newcastle, c. £65,000 + benefits package

This forward-thinking accountancy firm is seeking a CTA-qualified Corporate Tax Manager (ideally dual-qualified CTA and ACA) to join their growing advisory team. With a client base spanning entrepreneurial owner-managed businesses, high-net-worth individuals and international groups, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to work closely with Directors and expand your advisory expertise.

The position is perfect for a tax professional who has built a solid foundation in complex compliance and is now ready to take on more advisory and project-based work.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate tax clients, acting as a trusted adviser.
• Work directly with Directors on advisory projects such as shareholder remuneration planning, company restructuring, entrepreneurial relief, and business sales.
• Lead on complex compliance assignments while steadily shifting your focus towards advisory.
• Spot and develop tax planning opportunities that deliver real value.
• Collaborate with the Private Client team to deliver seamless solutions across corporate and personal tax.

About You

• CTA qualified (essential); ACA qualified as well is highly desirable.
• Strong corporate tax experience, with exposure to complex compliance work.
• Keen to expand into advisory and consulting, working closely with Directors and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent communicator, confident in building strong client relationships.
• Commercially minded, proactive, and motivated to add value.

Location

Based in Newcastle, this role is commutable from Hexham, Morpeth, Darlington, Alnwick, Durham and Teesside.
