An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and ambitious Corporate Tax Partner to play a key role in building and shaping the success of a new Birmingham office, as part of the firm’s next phase of strategic growth.
This is a senior leadership role offering the chance to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, including entrepreneurial private businesses, venture capital-backed companies, and corporate groups across a wide range of sectors — including fast-growth industries, technology, and established household names. As a core member of the Birmingham leadership team, you will be instrumental in growing the firm’s presence across the West Midlands, developing new business opportunities, and providing trusted strategic advice to clients. You will work alongside a collaborative Partner group who will support your success in building the business.
Responsibilities
- Leading the development and growth of the firm’s corporate tax client base, including nurturing existing relationships and winning new business.
- Playing an active, visible role in business development, expanding your network across the local market and specialist sectors.
- Providing technical leadership and strategic tax advice to a wide-ranging client portfolio.
- Taking a key role in people management, including team development, recruitment, coaching, and succession planning.
- Acting as a visible and influential leader within the Birmingham office and the wider firm.
To be considered for the role of Corporate Tax Partner, you will
- Hold appropriate a professional tax or accountancy qualification (e.g., CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Have significant experience in corporate tax, including advisory and client relationship management.
- Be a confident business developer, with the ability to build networks and drive growth in the local market.
- Possess strong technical expertise and the ability to influence at senior levels.
- Possess strong leadership skills, and have a passion for developing high-performing teams.
