About the role
Our team is a leading corporate tax and international tax practice working with the largest multinational companies in the UK. We operate nationally with parts of the team based in more than 10 offices including London, the South East (e.g. Reading), the Midlands (e.g. Birmingham), the North West (e.g. Manchester) and Scotland (e.g. Glasgow).
We are seeking a Senior Associate who excels in technical challenges and enjoys building client relationships and developing teams. Candidates should have a strong track record in managing complex international and corporate tax projects within multidisciplinary teams. You can be based in any of our offices providing flexibility to apply whatever your location in the UK.
The role is varied and challenging, offering significant career development opportunities.
As a Senior Associate, you will work with and learn from Managers, Senior Managers, Directors, and Partners, including renowned practitioners. A coach will oversee your performance, wellbeing, and development and you will have peers based with you whichever office you work from.
What your days will look like
- Build close relationships with a wide range of clients and work as part of a team to deliver the Firm's tax services.
- Manage and deliver engagements as a key role in client teams, which vary in size.
- Participate in project teams for one-off projects.
- Engage in stimulating and rarely routine client work.
- Solve tax and business issues for companies that are household names.
- Advise on major corporate transactions, international and UK tax matters, and support tax audits for major companies.
- Utilise your tax technical skills in a stimulating and challenging environment.
- Collaborate with a group of corporate tax specialists.
This role is for you if
- You will have gained significant international and UK corporate tax advisory experience working on complex transactions. Experience of tax reporting or tax accounting would be advantageous but is not essential.
- You will need strong analytical skills and a flexible approach, combined with the ability to work as part of a number of client teams simultaneously and an eagerness to learn.
- You will have experience of developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- You will have experience of project managing and delegating work within a team context.
- You will have a focus on self-development and on the development of those working with you.
What you\'ll receive from us
No matter where you may be in your career or personal life, our benefits are designed to add value and support, recognising and rewarding you fairly for your contributions.
We offer a range of benefits including empowered flexibility and a working week split between office, home and client site; private medical cover and 24/7 access to a qualified virtual GP; six volunteering days a year and much more.
