Cost & Commercial Analyst Liverpool Remote £50,000 - £55,000
Responsibilities
- Manage daily project reporting to ensure alignment between project costs and revenue.
- Conduct performance analysis, identifying and understanding variances against budgets and forecasts.
- Reconcile forecasted and actual expenditures, producing project accruals.
- Coordinate and manage updates to project forecasts, incorporating inputs from project teams and clients.
- Support monthly financial close by posting cost accruals, unbilled revenue, and calculating adjustments based on project progress.
- Prepare in-depth variance analysis and financial reporting for projects.
- Compile cost and financial input for Project Monthly Status Reports (PMSR).
- Provide accurate monthly reporting of Value of Work Done (VOWD) and long-term cash flow forecasts.
- Perform economic analysis, assess deviations and probability, and support project management with financial and accounting issues.
- Prepare detailed revenue forecasts and variance reports for clients, including supporting documentation for cost-plus items.
- Create Applications for Payment (AFP) in line with pricing schedules.
- Liaise with the supply chain on requisitions, hire control, and goods receipting.
- Support project closure activities, including purchase order reconciliation and final margin reporting.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced Excel skills, with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
- Experience with CSAM is desirable.
- Experience in offshore, oil and gas, or renewable energy industries is advantageous.
