Cost & Commercial Analyst Liverpool Remote £50,000 - £55,000

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily project reporting to ensure alignment between project costs and revenue.
  • Conduct performance analysis, identifying and understanding variances against budgets and forecasts.
  • Reconcile forecasted and actual expenditures, producing project accruals.
  • Coordinate and manage updates to project forecasts, incorporating inputs from project teams and clients.
  • Support monthly financial close by posting cost accruals, unbilled revenue, and calculating adjustments based on project progress.
  • Prepare in-depth variance analysis and financial reporting for projects.
  • Compile cost and financial input for Project Monthly Status Reports (PMSR).
  • Provide accurate monthly reporting of Value of Work Done (VOWD) and long-term cash flow forecasts.
  • Perform economic analysis, assess deviations and probability, and support project management with financial and accounting issues.
  • Prepare detailed revenue forecasts and variance reports for clients, including supporting documentation for cost-plus items.
  • Create Applications for Payment (AFP) in line with pricing schedules.
  • Liaise with the supply chain on requisitions, hire control, and goods receipting.
  • Support project closure activities, including purchase order reconciliation and final margin reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Advanced Excel skills, with strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience with CSAM is desirable.
  • Experience in offshore, oil and gas, or renewable energy industries is advantageous.
