The Residential Mortgage-Backed Securities (RMBS) team is seeking an analyst to be based in our London office. The role is open at the Analyst or Senior Analyst level depending on experience. The RMBS team is responsible for providing ratings for all securities backed by residential mortgage loans and publishes research related to RMBS performance and mortgage market fundamentals.

- A role with a wide variety of daily tasks including discussion with issuers, quantitative analysis, presenting results in rating committees and writing rating reports.
- A London-based team covering UK issuers and providing asset class leadership across Europe, embedded in the wider European Structured Finance team.
- Structured training program to build knowledge and skills to rate Structured Finance transactions.
- A flexible work environment with the ability to work remotely for up to two days per week.
We’ll Count on You To
- Perform analysis of new transactions including collecting and analysing portfolio data, cash flow modelling, review of legal documentation and analysis of the transaction structure.
- Monitor and analyse existing transactions.
- Communicate with external parties involved in the rating process including management meetings.
- Present your analysis in rating committees.
- Publish rating reports and press releases.
- Potential for future participation in the publication of research on structured finance related market developments.
What You Need to Have
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Applications from individuals with additional relevant experience in place of a bachelor’s degree are welcome.
- Two or more years of professional experience. Experience in the financial services industry, securitisation market, risk management, treasury or the mortgage industry would be advantageous.
- Strength in numeracy and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
