Overview

Credit Controller (French & German speaking) role at WSP in the UK & Ireland. The position is hybrid (home and office) and involves proactively managing a portfolio of clients to ensure timely payment of invoices and removing roadblocks to payment through influencing stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own an overseas debt ledger and manage a range of debts from straightforward to challenging, ensuring timely payments.
• Build productive relationships across all levels of the business.
• Drive cash flow to meet personal and stakeholder targets.
• Educate stakeholders on the use of the Debt Collection Agency and credit policies and Credit Management services.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure no payments are missed when colleagues are on holiday.

What you will achieve in your first year

You will work within an energetic team to support engineers in collecting payments for projects. You will contact clients on the ledger, address objections to payment, and build relationships with key finance and operational stakeholders to push debts to a conclusion.

Qualifications & Experience

• Credit Control / Accounts Receivable or related experience (Accounts Payable, Treasury, Cash Application, or Billing).
• Experience in a Professional Services environment or Engineering/Construction sector preferred.
• Proficient in English, French and German (spoken and written).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellent service.

What we look for

Comfortable with telephone communication with internal and external customers and able to write clear emails. Studying for CICM exams or other qualifications is supported for ongoing development. The role supports career growth within WSP.
