Salary: £26,000 – £29,000

Bonus: Up to 10%

Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days office / 2 days home) after induction & Probation

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join our Credit Control team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with proven experience in a fast‑paced credit control environment, who thrives on attention to detail and enjoys working collaboratively.

You will be individually responsible for a defined portfolio of accounts, segmented by customer type and sector, and play a key role in the collection and management of debt across our Major Business Account ledgers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of high‑risk accounts with a focus on recovering outstanding balances.
  • Use strong listening and negotiation skills to engage with customers who have a propensity for non‑payment.
  • Audit accounts to identify and resolve incorrect charges.
  • Liaise with internal departments to resolve issues and facilitate timely payments.
  • Provide cover for team members across active Gas & Power ledgers during absences.

About the Office

Based at the Kingswood Field office KT20 6RP (Tadworth), a 28‑acre office campus site set in the Surrey countryside with Trail walks. You will enjoy a modern vibrant and friendly working environment. We have an onsite restaurant and café with a wide range of options available, and coffee shop. There is a state‑of‑the‑art on‑site gym run by Nuffield, with classes on set days in the mornings, at lunch and after work hours.

We have a staff car park which includes electric charging points, an undercover and secure bike rack (useful if you’ve made the most of the Cycle‑to‑Work scheme), or if you will use public transport we have a private shuttle bus service that regularly runs between train station and the office at peak times.
