Overview

Credit Risk Analyst - Energy & Commodities. A leading energy trading organisation is seeking a skilled and analytical Credit Risk Analyst to join its Credit Risk team. This role involves close collaboration with internal departments, external clients, third-party intermediaries, credit rating agencies, and insurers to manage credit exposure across energy supply contracts and related services. Hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 from home (non-negotiable).

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth credit assessments.
• Negotiate legal and collateral agreements (ISDA, EFET, CSA, PCG).
• Support commercial risk mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in a credit risk role, preferably within the energy sector.
• Strong financial analysis skills and knowledge of credit frameworks.
• Proficiency in financial modelling tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate.
• Solid understanding of traded energy markets (Gas, Power, Carbon) is highly desirable; previous market risk exposure is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders.
