Role: Credit Risk Assurance Manager

Location: Midlands or South East - Hybrid with 3 days in the office + flex start/finish times

Salary: £45,000 to £60,000 plus 15% bonus, enhanced family benefits, hybrid working and more

This is a brilliant opportunity to step into a high-impact role where you’ll be part of a wider transformation and play a key part in how lending quality is reviewed, measured and improved across the group. It’s not just about delivering the plan. This is a hands-on, strategic role where you’ll manage your own reviews, coach others in the team, and work closely with senior leaders to make sure credit quality and assurance is being handled the right way - especially across bridging, development, commercial and asset finance. If you’re someone who enjoys structured thinking, complex lending, and getting stuck into reviews that really matter, this is one to look at.

To be successful, you’ll need hands-on experience in credit oversight or assurance, with a solid understanding of complex property lending, strong qualitative thinking, and the confidence to lead reviews, manage people and help shape how assurance is delivered across the bank.

So, if you are comfortable with:

• Leading full end-to-end review activity across commercial, bridging, development and asset finance
• Spotting trends in risk and quality, and turning that into something useful for the business
• Supporting and mentoring others in the team, including line management responsibilities
• Working closely with the Senior Manager to shape the annual review plan and deliver key outcomes
• Contributing to the wider transformation of risk and assurance across the group
• Helping the business meet its credit risk appetite through more effective assurance

And have experience in:

• Credit assurance, oversight or qualitative review of lending
• Commercial, development and bridging finance — including structuring and credit decisioning
• Analysing data, creating MI and drawing out patterns to support reviews
• Managing or mentoring a small team, and helping others grow
• Working with credit risk frameworks and risk appetite
