Job Title: CTO PMO Analyst
Location: Birmingham
Job mode: Hybrid, 2 days a week working from office
Job type: Contract (6 Months)
The role holder will report to the Head of CTO Change Portfolio Management and will operate as the dedicated PMO Engagement Lead for at least one of the CTO Areas.
Responsibilities
- Support the effective delivery of the CTO portfolio outcomes, ensuring alignment to organisational strategic requirements and priorities.
- Collaborate with Area stakeholders to drive the delivery of accurate and timely reporting data and governance materials.
- Report on Area portfolio health to the PMO Lead, Head of PMO Change Management and ExCo.
- Identify thematic risks and issues for the Area and report these to Central PMO.
- Ensure the Area’s programmes adhere to HSBC frameworks and standards.
- Support CTO annual planning activities, advise on best methods, and produce review materials.
- Monitor CTO’s programmes/portfolios/projects without owning governed programmes or projects.
Essential Skillset / Experience
- Some understanding of portfolio management frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Pro-active problem-solving skills with strong experience in negotiating, documenting, and presenting recommendations to deliver shared outcomes.
- Critical thinking with the ability to work under pressure to challenging timescales and deliver at pace.
- Excellent stakeholder management, presentation, and communication skills; exposure to senior stakeholders is critical.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to engage and align different teams.
- Some knowledge of technology infrastructure products, platforms, and fintech.
- Strong/in-depth reporting skills as data is reported to CTO level within HSBC; ability to turn around ad-hoc requests into high-level reports for senior management.
- Prepare portfolio update reports, quality procedures, audits, and status reports where required.
