Curriculum Manager - Software Engineering

In this role you will build DataCamp’s software engineering curriculum, collaborating with instructors and teams across curriculum, engineering, product, and marketing to design and develop high‑quality courses that help millions of learners upskill in foundational programming and engineering skills.

Role

Individual contributor responsible for recruiting instructors, creating course outlines, reviewing content, and updating materials as needed. Your day‑to‑day will include:

  • Own the software engineering curriculum roadmap, researching industry trends and in‑demand skills.
  • Manage the entire content development lifecycle and deadlines.
  • Source and recruit top‑tier instructors who are subject‑matter experts.
  • Collaborate with instructors to create engaging content.
  • Design, review, and create content covering software engineering topics, ensuring technical accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
  • Partner with engineering to enable advanced technical content creation.
  • Continuously assess course performance using learner feedback and engagement data to drive improvements.
  • Identify opportunities and develop AI workflows to optimize content creation and enhance quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven full‑stack web development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Hands‑on experience with JS/TS backend frameworks such as Express or Next.js and front‑end frameworks like React.
  • Experience with modern JS tooling such as npm and yarn, automated testing using Jest, and TDD/BDD methodologies.
  • Rapid learner of new concepts in software engineering and an ability to translate them into learner‑friendly content.
  • Strong expertise in instructional design, with proven experience designing, structuring, and teaching technical courses, and creating interactive, hands‑on learning experiences.
  • Graduate degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, AI, or a related STEM field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders; thrives wearing multiple hats.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and urgency.
  • Experience using AI tools for content creation and workflow automation without sacrificing truthfulness and quality.
