What your role is
As our Customer Demand Planner, you will be the driving force behind accurate forecasting, effective event management, and strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for:
- Event Management: Collaboratively plan, forecast, execute, track, and review promotional activities, NPD launches, and delists, ensuring seamless execution and optimal results. You will be responsible for planning and agreeing NPD launches with your customers.
- Demand Planning: Analyse internal and customer data (EPOS, forecast, service, and customer stockholding) to generate actionable insights that improve promotional performance and forecast accuracy. You will be responsible for promotional tracking, reporting with a high level of analysis on performance, with post promotional evaluations and Day 1 and Day 5 promo analysis execution.
- Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong, influential relationships with your customers\' supply chain teams. Prepare and lead regular collaborative review meetings, proactively challenging customers where required and becoming a trusted advisor.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Serve as the expert for your customer within General Mills, acting as the first point of contact for internal and external queries. Collaborate weekly with the Supply Planning team to identify potential shortages and communicate updates to customers. Partner with the Logistics team to address delivery issues and explore cost-saving opportunities.
What you will bring to the team:
You have proven experience in supply or demand planning, or customer collaboration, ideally within FMCG or retail. You understand the systems, processes, and expectations of major grocers and know how to influence both customers and internal stakeholders to achieve results.
Analytical and detail-oriented, you\'re skilled in Excel and confident in turning data into actionable insights. You thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, balancing multiple priorities while always keeping service and accuracy front of mind. With strong interpersonal skills, a continuous improvement mindset, and a proactive, collaborative approach, you\'re ready to deliver real impact for our customers and consumers alike.
