Position Overview
As a member of Boeing Aviation Business Solutions (ABS), you will lead the Digital and Cybersecurity Consulting Practice, overseeing day‑to‑day operations and ensuring the delivery of high‑quality cybersecurity consulting services to our global aviation customers. The role supports the Digital and Cybersecurity Practice Principal and focuses on shaping, overseeing, and delivering engagements across strategy to implementation, building trusted advisor relationships with clients, managing delivery teams, and driving business growth through sales activities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient processes and high‑quality service delivery to clients.
- Coordinate with the Digital and Cybersecurity Principal to streamline workflows and optimize resource allocation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Solicit and incorporate client feedback to improve service offerings and satisfaction.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including ABS Leadership, other Boeing teams, and clients.
- Monitor engagement and practice delivery performance metrics to drive improvements.
- Collaborate with Senior Engagement Leaders on delivering customer engagements, meeting project timelines, deliverables, and financial objectives.
- Collaborate with the Practice Principal on the Long‑Term Business Plan to meet revenue targets.
- Lead aviation client engagement, ensuring client goals are met.
- Motivate and mentor the engagement team, fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Lead all phases of customer engagement opportunities (assessment, analysis, solution creation, implementation).
- Manage program scope, schedule, resources, and financial status, communicating impact to stakeholders.
- Identify gaps in Boeing’s capabilities and develop external partnerships to fill those gaps.
- Conduct research, analysis, and utilization of tools and frameworks to formulate valuable recommendations.
- Identify issues, formulate hypotheses, and provide objective recommendations with definitive implementation plans.
- Communicate directly with government or regulatory agency leadership as needed.
- Contribute to thought leadership through research, white papers, case studies, and industry events.
- Build direct relationships with BCA/BGS Sales and Marketing; prospect and create business opportunities with ABS Leadership.
- Identify and monetize existing Boeing capabilities to solve customer challenges.
- Generate sales letters describing ABS service value, tailoring services and pricing to customers.
- Drive additional revenue opportunities during established engagements.
- Work autonomously while staying within Boeing’s policies and procedures.
- Support ABS leadership on special assignments; travel domestically and internationally as required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security Law, or related field.
- Deep knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, COBIT, CSF, FAIR) and regulatory requirements (EASA Part‑IS, NIS2, FAA AC 119‑1A, GDPR, DFARS, CMMC).
- Minimum 7‑10 years of airline/aerospace industry experience.
- Minimum 7‑10 years of leadership experience in cybersecurity (preferably as CISO or equivalent).
- Professional certifications: CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
- Experience managing cross‑functional teams and delivering complex projects in a matrix environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client and team engagement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior cybersecurity or information security consulting experience.
- Strong innovative thinking, leadership, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
- Proven team‑building, time management, conflict resolution, briefing, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to navigate change, make defensible decisions in ambiguity, and own decisions.
- Experience collaborating with customers to align business objectives and develop delivery strategies.
- Master’s degree or MBA.
