Overview

Location: Home-based with travel to client sites or Columbus offices as required. Job title: D365 Senior Finance Business Consultant. Salary: Negotiable (we aim to improve your current package). Bonus: Yes. Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays (increasing with service). Medical insurance: Yes (terms apply) plus Health Cashback Plan. Hours: Full time (36.5 hours per week).

Travel/expenses: A car is required for travel to client sites; expenses reimbursed at 45p per mile from home address (excluding travel to any Columbus Office within 35 miles). This role is part of the Columbus Dynamics team and supports a flexible hybrid/onsite working model.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance solutions across the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, go-live support, testing, and training.
• Analyse client needs, identify process improvements, and guide customers through change while documenting work clearly.
• Collaborate with project teams, mentor Associate Consultants, share knowledge, and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Engage with customers to build and maintain relationships as a Trusted Advisor; act as a liaison between business requirements and technical delivery.
• Lead workshops, deliver training, and support testing activities as part of project delivery.
• Travel to client sites as required and participate in onsite consultancy time planned in advance (2-week blocks when necessary).

Essentials / Qualifications

• Experience implementing D365 Finance modules within a customer or partner environment
• Relevant finance and accounting qualifications
• Knowledge of Manufacturing, Retail, Warehousing and Life Science industries
• Deep understanding of ERP project delivery and implementation methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.)
• Experience running workshops and delivering training
• Ability to lead and guide a team within a core functional area
• Strong relationship-building skills with customers and senior management
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Curiosity, a mindset to challenge the status quo, and a focus on personal development
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge
• Desire to become a Trusted Advisor in your field
