We’re hiring a Solution Architect to join our Data & AI Practice, helping enterprise clients bring their vision to life through impactful, responsible, and scalable Data & AI solutions. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role - perfect for someone who thrives at the intersection of technical innovation, business strategy, and delivery excellence. From shaping deals and crafting solution roadmaps to mentoring delivery teams and leading Agentic AI and data platform engagements, this role is about creating real impact — at scale. As an Architect within our Data & AI practice, you\'ll deliver Agentic AI and data platform solutions and services that make transformative change and deliver high value business outcomes. You\'ll engage in solutioning through gaining deep insight into our customers challenges and needs, taking responsibility for the technical design and solution for large scale analytical solutions. You’ll provide guidance and technical leadership to teams of data & AI engineers whilst building relationships with our clients to become a trusted advisor.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and solution for large scale analytical solutions within Data & AI programs.
- Engage with customers to understand challenges and needs, shaping deals and crafting solution roadmaps.
- Provide guidance and technical leadership to teams of data & AI engineers; build trusted advisor relationships with clients.
- Engage in early conversations with clients, partners and sales teams to support origination and deal qualification, requirements capture and solutioning, recommending best practices and approaches to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Prepare and represent the solution in Deal Reviews and participate in client presentations and negotiations with key client buyers.
- Collaborate with the wider Data & AI leadership to shape current and future offerings, accelerators, and background IP to support GTM activities.
- Drive the evolution of best practices and methodologies for AI development, including data management, model training, fine-tuning, and deployment.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI and data technologies and incorporate relevant innovations into solutions.
Skills and Experiences
- Excellent working knowledge of GenAI / Agentic AI, Microsoft Fabric and/ or Databricks
- Awareness of channels to market and how to work in a Microsoft and partner eco-system to ensure Customer Success
- High energy to help clients understand the fast moving Data & AI industry, product and service evolution
- Experience working with stakeholders to create technical visions, high-level architectures, and delivery roadmaps for large programs of work involving modern data platform concepts including enterprise-wide AI scaling
- Capability in creating design artifacts and presenting them for approval at architectural forums attended by multi-disciplined stakeholders from engineering to senior client executives
- Understanding of modern Data & AI capabilities such as structured and unstructured data analysis, streaming data, IoT, AI, GenAI and related analytics fields
- Experience in designing and delivering large-scale Data Platform solutions using approaches such as Lakehouse, Data Mesh, Fabric, Cloud Scale Analytics; designing for performance, security and reliability
- Comfortable actively engaging and leading sales and business development opportunities with clients
About You
- You are passionate about tech and engaging with and advising clients
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proven success in consultative/complex technical sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications
- Extensive experience with large complex enterprise accounts architecting cloud data solutions and implementing large scale data projects in the cloud
- Strong communication skills; ability to lead remote teams and orchestrate client projects
- Consultative, collaborative, relationship builder
- Resilient, adaptable, flexible; humble leadership and strong negotiation capabilities
What You\'ll Do
- As an architect on client projects, provide technical leadership, shape deals and propositions, drive architectural decisions, create plans and roadmaps, and produce design artifacts
- Contribute to Avanade\'s sales process by creating solutions that innovates and win new business; shape high-level design, estimates, and contractual details for proposals
- Mentor and motivate junior colleagues within your team and across the organization
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear language and value-based outcomes for senior stakeholders
- Engage with clients, partners and sales teams to support origination, requirements capture and solutioning; prepare solutions for Deal Reviews and participate in client presentations and negotiations
- Collaborate with Data & AI leadership to shape offerings, accelerators and background IP for GTM
- Drive the evolution of AI development practices, including data management, model training, and deployment
- Stay current with AI and data technologies and incorporate innovations into solutions
