Our department has been at the forefront of delivering critical data-driven insights. In today’s healthcare environment, the ability to make data-informed decisions is crucial. As healthcare data becomes more complex, there is a pressing need to present this data faster and in more comprehensive, actionable formats by adopting innovative technologies.

The successful candidate will be expected to work on-site three days per week.

Data Analysis & Reporting Function Key Areas

• Providing accessible data to stakeholders to facilitate data-informed decisions
• Engaging stakeholders and ensuring they understand data nuances by presenting information clearly
• Transforming healthcare data into intuitive reports that make complex information understandable, aligned with national and local requirements
• Timely submission of regulatory reports such as audits, performance monitoring, FOI requests, and financial data
• Promoting a data-driven culture within the organization, supporting data literacy and utilization to develop Trust services
• Using automation and process optimization to identify improvement areas, enabling better resource use and enhanced patient care

Data Analysis and Reporting Lead Core Responsibilities

• Leading complex data projects, employing advanced analytics tools, and ensuring data integrity and accuracy
• Fostering team growth and mentorship, collaborating across departments, and liaising with senior management on strategic initiatives
• Designing and implementing an analytics and reporting sub-strategy aligned with Trust objectives to support the department’s overall data strategy
• Maintaining regular communication with key stakeholders about data initiatives, challenges, and future plans
• Developing upskilling plans and guiding professional registration through bodies like AphA, BCS, etc., in line with the National Competency Framework

We manage three major hospitals—North Tyneside, Wansbeck, and Hexham—plus several smaller community hospitals and clinics across a large geographical area, including Tynemouth and Berwick on Tweed.
