Applications are invited for a new and exciting opportunity for an experienced assistant psychologist with a background in research, audit or improvement to work with the Ealing Mental Health Integrated Network Teams (MINT) to increase, improve and embolden mental health support within the West London area. These roles will sit in the community mental health (MINT) teams across the borough of Ealing.
This role will involve leading on data analysis and continuous improvement alongside supporting the delivery of care for those client’s waiting for a therapeutic intervention. This role therefore requires postgraduate competencies and experience in this area. The ratio of analyst to clinical work is roughly 70:30. Before commencing in the role there will be an induction which will cover the key skills needed to undertake the role.

Main Responsibilities
Clinical
- Provide protocol based assessments of risk to self and others and respond to client risk as appropriate and as part of this listen to and respond to the immediate needs of the service use and in doing so promote choice, control and empowerment
- Undertake patient-centred interviews which identify areas where the person wishes to see change and which appropriate low-intensity intervention would address their difficulties.
- Provide a range of high-volume low-intensity psychological treatments based on evidence-based literature and research to support best practice in clinical work. Interventions may include guided self-help, and treatment might be individual or in psychoeducational groups.
- Adhere to an agreed activity contract relating to the overall number of client contacts offered, and clinical sessions carried out per week in order to minimise waiting times and ensure treatment delivery remains accessible and convenient.
- Monitor treatment and client progress and provide appropriate feedback to client, GP and referrer.
Our high secure services care for patients from South of England and we provide low and medium secure services across eight London boroughs. The Trust also provides mental and physical healthcare in three London boroughs (Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith & Fulham). We employ over 5,000 staff, of whom 59% are BME. The Trust is rated as ‘Good’ overall by the Care Quality Commission. Forensic services are rated as ‘Outstanding’.
The Trust is an established partner and contributor in the development of the evolving North West London Integrated Care System and the Integrated Care Board. The Trust leads the NW London Children and Adolescent Mental Health provider collaborative.
