Job Title: Data Analyst – SAS & SQL

Experience: 6+ years

Location: Edinburgh

Work Type – Hybrid (Office 3 days in a week)

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS programs for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Write efficient SQL queries to manipulate, extract, and validate data from relational databases.
• Perform detailed data analysis, identifying trends, patterns, and insights to support business strategies.
• Create and automate dashboards, reports, and performance metrics for stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (BI, IT, Business Units) to gather requirements and deliver analytics solutions.
• Provide ad-hoc data support and analysis to management as needed.
• Document processes, queries, and workflows for knowledge sharing and audit purposes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence.
• Strong expertise in SAS (Base SAS, SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS SQL, Macros, etc.).
• Proficiency in SQL for complex queries, data manipulation, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with large datasets, relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, etc.).
• Solid knowledge of ETL processes, data warehousing, and reporting tools.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
