HOURS: Full-Time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of your time at one of our office sites

This role offers a unique opportunity to work on a wide range of AI and ML projects, from model development and validation to data analysis and stakeholder engagement. You’ll be joining a team that values curiosity, creativity and continuous learning, and you’ll play a key role in helping us unlock the full potential of data across the Group.

Responsibilities

  • Develop AI and ML solutions with guidance, including feature selection, model training and validation

  • Prepare and explore data ahead of modelling

  • Utilise a modern tech stack for data science, including python, google cloud and other tools

  • Work closely with data and ML engineers to develop and scalably integrate modelling solutions

  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that data science solutions are designed in a manner that aligns with business need

  • Operate as part of a collaborative agile team where data scientists, engineers and other specialists support one another to deliver effectively

  • Edit and prepare documents for publication and governance review in line with organisational standards

What you\'ll need

  • Experience developing or supporting AI and ML models, including the commonly used python libraries for machine learning and data pre-processing. Awareness of LLM methods and skills in prompting or fine-tuning are beneficial but not mandatory.

  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data

  • Familiarity with the theory and mathematical foundations of machine learning and statistical modelling

  • Familiarity with data management systems and tools such as SQL. Experience with cloud data science environments is beneficial but not mandatory.

  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work within established frameworks and processes

  • A proactive approach to personal development and supporting others to grow
