Role Overview:

As a Data Technical Product Owner within our IT organisation, you will lead the creation, development, and delivery of data technical products (vehicle, customer, regulatory, financial) supporting new commercial propositions. The role is evolving into a Data Domain Technology Owner within our enterprise data management model, ensuring platform stability and security while supporting VWFS’s commercial goals.

You will establish data technology products for enterprise data management, develop strategies, and work with data engineering, governance, architecture, and business stakeholders to lead data and AI product development. The role owns the technical evolution towards a "Data Driven Business" aligned with VWFS strategies.

Responsibilities include leading iterative development of data domain products, maximizing business value and user satisfaction, and ensuring technical feasibility and compliance.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a Data Technical Product Owner in enterprise data management.
• Knowledge of agile project delivery, data strategy, engineering, and data products.
• Understanding of software development, data science, and coding with Python.
• Experience with enterprise data platforms and solutions to improve business performance.
• Leadership in agile teams of IT and data specialists.
• Knowledge of waterfall, PRINCE2, and Agile environments.
• Strong knowledge across data engineering, governance, platforms, AI products, BI, and data science.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
• Certifications such as DAMA, SAFe, SCRUM, BCS preferred.
• Relevant qualifications in data analytics/science and business, with experience in Financial Services or Automotive Finance being advantageous.

Main Responsibilities:

• Own and drive data technical products from inception to delivery, ensuring timely and within-budget execution.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver market propositions.
• Collaborate with IT to resource and develop data products.
• Engage with senior stakeholders for buy-in and investment.
• Develop and improve enterprise data management capabilities.
• Coordinate with other product owners and technical teams to develop solutions.
• Gather requirements, assess feasibility, and prioritize product backlogs.
• Support and coach data teams and ensure knowledge transfer.
