Data Center Facility Manager

We're seeking an engineering leader to drive operational excellence in our data center environments. You'll be at the forefront of maintaining mission-critical infrastructure, solving complex technical challenges, and ensuring uninterrupted service for our customers through strategic management and technical expertise.

Key job responsibilities include:

  • Manage and lead shift technicians, contractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality operational standards
  • Oversee multiple data center availability zones, implementing strategic infrastructure management
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans that enhance facility efficiency and performance
  • Operate and manage critical systems including power distribution, generators, cooling infrastructure, and monitoring systems
  • Support facility expansion and infrastructure development projects

A day in the life will be a blend of strategic planning, hands-on technical oversight, and team leadership. You'll navigate dynamic environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to maintain our data center operations.

About the team: AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's or Technical Degree in Engineering or related field

Demonstrated experience managing teams in mission-critical technical environments

Proven ability to manage large-scale technical services

Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical infrastructure systems

Preferred Qualifications

Data Center Engineering Experience

Experience in mission-critical operations environment

Fundamental knowledge of network design and layout as well as low voltage (copper/ fiber) cabling
