Senior Consultant – Data Science & AI – Northwest

£60,000 – £80,000 base | Hybrid – client‑facing (multiple days per week on‑site) | SC Cleared or SC Clearable – Essential

About the role

We're hiring a Senior Consultant in Data Science & AI to partner with a Principal Consultant on live client projects. You'll be hands‑on from day one – applying your data science expertise to design, build and deploy intelligent solutions that move from PoC through MVP into Alpha/Beta.

What you'll do

• Deliver hands‑on Data Science and Machine Learning solutions in real‑world settings.
• Build, train and validate models that underpin Proofs of Concept and MVPs.
• Contribute to the full lifecycle – PoC → MVP → Alpha → Beta → Production.
• Work closely with clients on‑site, translating data insights into practical recommendations.
• Support design workshops, testing, and solution documentation.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with the Principal Consultant to develop best practice.

What we're looking for

• Strong foundation in Data Science, Machine Learning and AI engineering.
• Proficiency with Python and modern data/AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit‑learn, etc.).
• Comfortable working on‑site with clients multiple times per week – building relationships and credibility.
• Consulting mindset: analytical, inquisitive, adaptable, and outcome‑focused.
• Passion for turning data science theory into real, measurable business value.
• Must be SC Cleared or SC Clearable – this is a firm requirement.
