OverviewData Engineer (Snowflake & Asset Management) — 6 Month Contract — London (Hybrid) — Via UmbrellaOur UK leading Life Insurance client are looking for a Data Engineer to join their team on an initial 6-month contract.ResponsibilitiesProficiency in Python and SQL for data engineering and application developmentExperience building data pipelines and ETL processes for capital markets dataHands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Snowflake data platformExperience with cloud-native development patterns and AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, etc.)Hands-on experience integrating with OMS platforms (Aladdin, Murex, Charles River, etc.) including data extraction, transformation, and real-time feedsStrong understanding of the capital markets trade lifecycle and order management workflowsStrong problem-solving skills with ability to design scalable, resilient solutionsAbility to work effectively with front-office stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical solutionsStrong collaboration and communication skills, with ability to work effectively in cross-functional teamsUnderstanding of trading workflows, trade lifecycle, and settlement processesKnowledge of data engineering workflows, pipelines, and integration patternsAwareness of regulatory and compliance considerations in capital markets deliveryFamiliarity with agile principles and team-based deliveryDesirableFamiliarity with agile delivery practices and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Team Topologies)Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tooling, and automated testing practicesExperience in regulated financial services environmentsKnowledge of data modelling, streaming, and real-time integration patternsExperience with multiple asset classes (equities, fixed income, derivatives)Knowledge of UK regulatory environment and FCA requirementsAwareness of portfolio management processes and related systemsExperience working directly with front-office or business stakeholdersBackground in data-intensive and cloud-native solution deliveryExposure to complex, multi-team delivery environments with dependenciesApplication & RightsIf you find this opportunity intriguing and aligning with your skill set, we welcome the submission of your CV without delay.Carbon60, Lorien & SRG - The Impellam Group STEM Portfolio are acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy. #J-18808-Ljbffr
