Overview
We are seeking an experienced Data Manager who can combine technical expertise with strong collaboration skills to shape the long-term data strategy of a non-profit membership institute. This newly created role sits at the heart of our client’s business transformation programme, supporting the implementation of a new Microsoft Dynamics solution while driving a culture of data quality, responsibility and insight. Working across multiple teams and with external partners, you will act as the bridge between technical specialists and business stakeholders. You’ll help define how data is collected, governed, and used across the organisation to ensure consistency, security and long-term value. A key focus will be preparing data for migration to a new CRM system, while establishing robust processes that set the foundation for future growth.
Employment details
Permanent, Full-time; Hybrid (2 days per week in Central London).
Key responsibilities
- Partnering with internal teams and external suppliers to deliver a successful CRM and data project.
- Leading on data cleansing, migration, and governance to create long-lasting standards.
- Supporting teams in turning data into actionable insights through reporting dashboards and analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with data protection and retention policies as the organisation’s Data Protection Officer.
- Driving continuous improvement in data processes to enable smarter decision-making over the long term.
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM focus) and strong skills in Power BI or similar tools.
- Excellent communicator, able to translate technical data issues into practical solutions for non-technical audiences.
- Strong background in data governance, security and quality assurance.
- Experience of cross-department collaboration and influencing at all levels.
- A strategic mindset, with the ability to balance immediate project goals with long-term planning.
- Non-profit or membership body experience is a plus.
Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM-focused).
- Strong skills in Power BI or similar data visualization and analysis tools.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical data issues for non-technical audiences.
- Knowledge of data governance, security and data quality assurance.
- Experience of cross-department collaboration and influencing at all levels.
- Ability to think strategically while delivering on immediate project goals.
- Experience in a non-profit or membership sector is advantageous.
