Role Title: Data Modeller/Architect
Duration: contract to run until 31/12/2025
Location: London, hybrid 2/3 days per week onsite
Rate: up to £483 p/d Umbrella inside IR35
Role purpose / summary
- Significant experience in data architecture or enterprise data modelling, ideally at a major bank or investment bank.
- A great understanding of banking products, risk frameworks, regulatory data requirements and financial markets data.
- Expertise in data modelling tools and frameworks with previous experience scaling models across global functions
Key Skills/ requirements
Design and Development:
Create and implement data architecture, including data models, databases, data warehouses, tailored for capital markets operations and analytics.
Data Governance & Quality:
Establish and enforce data governance policies, data lineage standards, and data quality frameworks to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of financial data.
Technology Selection:
Identify, evaluate, and implement suitable data technologies and cloud platforms (optional) to support data storage, processing, and analysis.
Data Integration:
Define strategies for integrating data from various sources, ensuring interoperability between different capital markets systems.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with other Data Domains, analysts, technical teams to understand data requirements and align data strategy with business objectives.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that the data architecture and policies comply with relevant financial regulations and standards.
Strategic Thinking:
Develop a long-term data vision and roadmap that supports the evolving needs of capital markets firms.
Skills Required
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in data modelling, database design, SQL, Python, Kafka(optional), and experience with ETL tools and cloud data platforms.
Data Management: Strong knowledge of data warehousing solutions.
Capital Markets Knowledge: Understanding of the specific data requirements, challenges, and regulatory landscape within the capital markets sector.
Communication: Excellent communication skills to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Leadership: Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor teams, and foster a collaborative, data-driven culture.
