Job Overview
The post holder will be part of the data management and study coordination team, providing comprehensive data management and trial coordination support to the Clinical Research Facility (CRF). The role involves ensuring data for CRF trials is complete, validated, and returned to study sponsors accurately and timely, promoting high‑quality research locally and internationally.
Responsibilities
- Ensure clinical data required for CRF trials are completed, validated, and returned to sponsors accurately and on time.
- Collect, enter, and transfer clinical data of the highest standard, maintaining data quality and compliance with SOPs and study protocols.
- Act as a focal point for information requests and queries within the department.
- Develop and improve existing data storage systems and processes as service needs evolve.
- Cover for other team members when necessary and work collaboratively to proactively improve data management.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities
- Effective data and data quality management, and reporting for studies undertaken within the CRF.
- Maintain records of trial accrual.
- Manage database information, maintain patient lists and databases for designated studies.
- Ensure accurate and timely capture of clinical data from source, in compliance with SOPs and study protocols.
Person Specification
Education / Qualifications
- Essential: Good grades in GCSE English, Science and Mathematics; GCE A‑Levels or equivalent.
- Desirable: Degree level education or equivalent training/experience; Formal IT training.
Experience
- Essential: Experience in handling large quantities of data.
Skills and Abilities
- Comprehensive IT skills – experienced with spreadsheets and databases.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
