OverviewFull-time, 36.5 hours per week (hybrid working - typically 1-2 days a week and be able to attend key meetings across Birmingham in person when required).Are you looking to make a difference to over 40,000 children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and their families in Birmingham? Birmingham's SEND services are growing as part of the council's long-term commitment to children, young people and their families with more than 150 permanent roles being created. We are putting evidence and a data-driven approach at the heart of SEND improvement to identify and respond to Children and Young People\'s needs effectively. We are looking for motivated people who combine a passion for SEND with proven analytical skills and experience to join us and make a meaningful impact in this priority area. You will be joining a newly established SEND Evidence and Analysis team providing support, evidence and analysis to a range of operational, corporate, statutory and strategic users. The team will be responsible for the availability, accuracy, assurance, and analysis of a range of SEND data (characteristics, needs, services, outcomes) to provide impactful insights to SEND service providers and users. Supporting statements provided as part of your application should be no longer than two A4 pages.ResponsibilitiesUsing your experience of data management and quality assurance you will ensure that improvements to SEND services are based on timely and trusted information.Interpret data to inform actions and provide timely and tailored evidence to a range of users to inform good practice and improve service performance and outcomes, with strong presentation skills.Use your skills and experience in using various IT applications and knowledge of relevant legislation to ensure that SEND data from collection, through to storage to analysis is managed and used safely and effectively.Apply your communication and engagement skills to support, motivate and challenge colleagues and teams to ensure services are evidence-based and delivering effectively.With experience in managing teams, help establish and meet realistic, user-focused and impactful outcomes that improve services for Children and Young People.QualificationsExperience of data management and quality assurance.Ability to interpret data and present insights to inform actions and improvements.Experience using various IT applications and knowledge of relevant legislation.Experience in managing teams and delivering outcomes.Strong communication and engagement skills.Application processPlease upload an up-to-date CV and Personal Statement via the attachments part of your application.
