About this opportunity

We’re looking for an innovative Data Solution Architect to join our Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) division. You’ll be part of a dynamic team driving transformation through cloud‑native data solutions that improve customer engagement and deliver meaningful insights. Working alongside platform architects, data product owners and engineering teams, you’ll play a key role in defining the technical direction of our data strategy.

At Lloyds Banking Group, we’re committed to building a more inclusive and sustainable future. This role offers the opportunity to work on pioneering projects using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) technologies, while mentoring others and contributing to a culture of learning and growth. If you’re excited by the challenge of architecting scalable, secure and reusable data products that make a real impact, we’d love to hear from you.

What you’ll be doing

  • Architect and deliver cloud‑native data solutions on GCP to support systems of insight and engagement
  • Own the migration of legacy platforms (Teradata, SQL Server) to GCP‑native tooling
  • Design and implement reusable data products for analytics, reporting and client engagement
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into technical architecture and delivery roadmaps
  • Define and implement data governance standards including metadata management and access controls
  • Support DevOps practices using tools such as Terraform, GitLab and Cloud Build

Why Lloyds Banking Group

Like the modern Britain we serve, we’re evolving. Investing billions in our people, data, and tech to transform the way we meet the ever‑changing needs of our 26 million customers. We’re growing with purpose. Join us on our journey and you will too.

What you’ll need

  • Confirmed experience as a Data Solution Architect with hands‑on expertise in GCP and/or Azure
  • Strong proficiency in GCP services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer and Looker
  • Experience migrating data from legacy platforms to cloud‑native environments
  • Expertise in data modelling, pipeline development and real‑time data streaming
  • Familiarity with event‑driven architecture, API integration and microservices
  • Knowledge of CI/CD practices and infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform and GitLab
