About the role
We are now recruiting an enthusiastic Database Manager to lead on the development and management of all operational, technical, and business-related aspects of the QSBB database. You will work closely with academic and administrative QSBB staff, assisting them with database searchers and data analysis, and be responsible for data access and retrieval governance and legal compliance.
The post is available immediately and is funded by the Reta Lila Weston Trust until 31 July 2026 in the first instance.

About you
You’ll have an honours degree in computer science/IT, biological sciences, or a related discipline, coupled with in-depth knowledge of database technologies and the ability to independently troubleshoot software and hardware issues. Strong communication, numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills are essential, as is exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and manage your work without extensive supervision.
This role meets the eligibility requirements for a skilled worker certificate of sponsorship or a global talent visa under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. Therefore, UCL welcomes applications from international applicants who require a visa.
